Terms of Use (EULA)

These Terms of Use and End User Licence Agreement (“Terms”) are a legal agreement between you and ProwlLog (“we”, “us”, or “our”), operated by Gramadhan. They govern your download and use of the ProwlLog app and its features. By downloading, accessing, or using ProwlLog, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
1. Acceptance of terms
By accessing or using ProwlLog (“the app”), you accept and agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old, or the minimum age required to enter into these Terms in your country. If local law requires a parent or guardian’s consent, you may use ProwlLog only with that consent.
3. Licence to use the app
We grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, and revocable licence to download and use ProwlLog on Apple-branded devices that you own or control, as permitted by the App Store Usage Rules and these Terms. ProwlLog is licensed, not sold. You may not transfer, redistribute, or sublicense the app except as expressly permitted by Apple’s Usage Rules.
4. The service
ProwlLog is a personal cat-spotting journal and collection app. It lets you create a “CATalog” of cats, take or add photos, record notes and sightings, place sightings on a map, record feeding moments, create stickers, publish select cats to a public World CATalog that other users can browse, and use sharing and sync features where available. Features may differ by device, operating-system version, region, iCloud availability, and whether you use the free or Pro version.
5. ProwlLog Pro plans & payments
ProwlLog offers free features and optional ProwlLog Pro access. Pro unlocks the premium features identified in the app, including full World CATalog browsing and an enhanced collecting experience. Collection sharing is available to all users at no charge. Available purchase options may include Pro Yearly (currently USD 4.99 per year, with a 3-day free trial for eligible users) and “Nine Lives,” a one-time purchase that unlocks Pro without a recurring subscription. Prices vary by country and currency; the price and period shown on the App Store purchase screen when you confirm are controlling.
- Payment: Apple charges your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase.
- Automatic renewal: The yearly subscription renews automatically for the same subscription period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the current period ends.
- Free trial: The yearly plan may begin with a 3-day free trial for eligible users. Unless cancelled before the trial ends, it converts to a paid yearly subscription. Any unused portion of a free trial is forfeited if you purchase another subscription, where applicable.
- Managing a subscription: You can manage or cancel in your App Store account settings. Cancelling normally takes effect at the end of the then-current paid period.
- Refunds and billing: Apple processes payments, cancellations, billing issues, and refund requests under Apple’s policies. We do not receive your full payment-card details.
6. iCloud sync
When iCloud sync is available and enabled, ProwlLog uses Apple’s iCloud and CloudKit services to keep supported app data up to date across your Apple devices. Supported data may include your cats, photos and details, sightings and map locations, and feeding moments. You must be signed in to iCloud, have sufficient iCloud storage, and have a compatible internet connection and device configuration.
Syncing data to your private iCloud database does not by itself make that data public or share it with another person. Changes and deletions may sync across your connected devices. iCloud services are operated by Apple and are subject to Apple’s terms and privacy practices. Sync may be delayed, interrupted, or unavailable, and ProwlLog does not guarantee that iCloud will prevent every data loss.
7. Shared Collections
Shared Collections is an optional feature that lets you share your CATalog with people you choose and view collections they share with you. Sharing occurs only when you deliberately create or accept a share or invitation through Apple’s iCloud/CloudKit sharing service.
A recipient’s in-app access is read-only unless ProwlLog clearly states otherwise. Shared content may include cat names and details, photos, sightings, feeding moments, and precise or approximate map locations associated with the shared collection. You can stop sharing to revoke future in-app access, but you cannot control copies or screenshots a recipient made while they had access. Share only with people you trust and review your entries for sensitive location or personal information before sharing.
8. World CATalog
World CATalog is an optional feature that lets you publish a cat from your private CATalog to a public catalog any ProwlLog user can browse, and lets you browse cats other users have published. Publishing is entirely your choice — nothing is published automatically.
- What is published: the cat’s cover and thumbnail photo, name, breed, coat, the date you first recorded the cat, the display name on your profile, and an approximate country and location (rounded to about 0.1°, roughly 11 km). Your notes, address, precise coordinates, and feeding history are never published, and a published photo is re-encoded to remove embedded metadata such as GPS coordinates.
- Limits: a free account may have up to 4 cats published at a time; ProwlLog Pro raises this to 10. If a Pro subscription lapses while more than 4 cats are published, nothing is taken down — you simply cannot publish again until you are back under the free limit. Browsing other users’ published cats beyond a limited free allowance requires ProwlLog Pro. A country must be determinable from the cat’s sighting location, or publishing will fail.
- Your responsibility: you are solely responsible for a cat and photo you publish, including having the right to share it and ensuring it complies with Section 9 (Acceptable use and safety). Do not publish a photo that identifies another person, especially a child, without their (or their guardian’s) consent, and do not use the display name or published details to impersonate or mislead others about a cat’s ownership.
- Removal: you can unpublish a cat at any time from Cat Detail or, if the private cat is no longer on your device, from the public viewer. We may also remove or decline to display published content, or suspend your ability to publish, at our discretion, if it violates these Terms, the in-app World CATalog rules, or applicable law — including in response to a report described below. We are not obliged to notify you before doing so, but will where reasonably practicable.
- Reporting, hiding, and blocking: if you find another user’s published cat objectionable, you can report it for our review, hide it, or block that user’s future published cats from appearing to you. These controls are always available and are never limited by feature availability elsewhere in the app.
- First use: the app asks you to accept the World CATalog rules the first time you browse or publish; continuing past that point means you accept them.
Published content is visible to any ProwlLog user, including people you do not know. While a cat is published, other users can save its photo to their device or share it outside the app from the in-app viewer, as well as take a screenshot, and a copy made that way may remain with them after you unpublish it.
9. Acceptable use and safety
You agree not to use the app for any unlawful purpose, reverse engineer, decompile, or tamper with it, except where applicable law expressly permits that activity; resell or unlawfully redistribute it; interfere with its security or operation; or use it, including the World CATalog, to create, publish, or share illegal, infringing, harmful, hateful, sexually explicit, abusive, or privacy-invasive content, or content that endangers or exploits a minor. Do not use the World CATalog to impersonate another person or misrepresent a cat’s ownership, to spam or repost the same cat under different details, or to attempt to circumvent another user’s block or another cat’s removal. Do not trespass, enter unsafe areas, disturb or endanger animals, or photograph people or private property unlawfully. ProwlLog does not provide veterinary, dietary, rescue, or emergency advice. Use appropriate judgment when approaching or feeding an animal and contact a qualified professional or local service when necessary.

10. Your content
You retain ownership of photos, notes, cat entries, sightings, feeding moments, stickers, and other content you create or add (“Your Content”). You grant us only the limited permission needed for the app to process, display, sync, and—when you choose—share Your Content to provide the features you request, including, when you choose to publish a cat, a limited, non-exclusive right to publicly display the published cover photo, thumbnail, and associated details described in Section 8 to other users through the World CATalog for as long as it stays published. We do not claim ownership of Your Content. You are responsible for ensuring that you have the rights and permissions needed to create, store, publish, and share it, and for keeping an independent backup if it matters to you.
11. Intellectual property
The ProwlLog name, app, and visual design are owned by ProwlLog and protected by applicable law. Except for the licence granted above, you may not copy, modify, resell, or redistribute them without our written permission.
12. Apple and the App Store
These Terms are between you and ProwlLog, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for the app or its content and has no obligation to provide maintenance or support. To the extent required by applicable law, if the app fails to conform to an applicable warranty, you may notify Apple for a refund of the purchase price, if any; Apple has no other warranty obligation. ProwlLog, not Apple, is responsible for addressing claims relating to the app, including product-liability, regulatory, consumer-protection, or third-party intellectual-property claims — including claims arising from World CATalog content. You must comply with applicable third-party terms when using the app. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you.
13. Third-party services
ProwlLog relies on services provided by Apple, including the App Store, StoreKit, iCloud, CloudKit, Maps-related system features, and device permissions, and on Mixpanel for product analytics. Your use of those services is governed by the relevant provider’s terms and privacy policy. We are not responsible for third-party service interruptions, account limits, changes, or actions outside our reasonable control.
14. Disclaimers
The app is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, to the maximum extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or compatible with every device, that iCloud-dependent features will always be available, current, or free from sync conflicts, or that the World CATalog will be free of content that violates these Terms despite our moderation efforts. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain warranty exclusions, so some of these exclusions may not apply to you.
15. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, ProwlLog shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, exemplary, or consequential damages, or any loss of data, content, goodwill, or profits, arising from or relating to your use of or inability to use the app, sharing, the World CATalog, or iCloud sync. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including your mandatory consumer rights.
16. Indemnification
To the extent permitted by applicable law, you agree to indemnify and hold ProwlLog harmless from claims, damages, losses, or reasonable expenses arising from your unlawful misuse of the app, Your Content (including anything you publish to the World CATalog), or your material violation of these Terms or another person’s rights.
17. Termination
We may suspend or discontinue the app or a feature when reasonably necessary, including for security, legal, or operational reasons. We may also remove specific World CATalog content or suspend your ability to publish, as described in Section 8, without suspending your access to the rest of the app. Your rights under these Terms end automatically if you materially fail to comply with them. You may stop using the app at any time. Cancelling a subscription and deleting the app are separate actions; deleting the app does not automatically cancel a subscription. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will continue to apply.
18. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Indonesia, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Nothing here limits any mandatory consumer-protection rights you may have under the laws of your country of residence.
19. Severability & entire agreement
If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions stay in full effect. Together with our Privacy Policy, these Terms are the entire agreement between you and ProwlLog regarding the app.
20. Changes to the app or these terms
We may update the app, its features, or these Terms from time to time. We will post revised Terms and update the “Last updated” date above. If a change is material, we will provide additional notice where reasonably practicable or legally required. Your continued use after the revised Terms take effect means you accept them, except where applicable law requires another form of consent.
